Artists in residence

We are passionate about providing space for extraordinary, yet still relatively unknown artists in (or at) our car dealership in Karl-Frowein-Straße 1-3 in Bonn.

Our most ambitious, and by far biggest, greatest, and most adventurous art project to date is that Stefanie Spilles und Hsieh Tsan-Yu, graduates of Alanus University of Arts and Social Sciences. For their bachelor degree, they turned our main wall facing Viktoria bridge into a colourful, imaginative, prize-winning piece of art, contrasting with its strictly urban surroundings.

The gushing waves and whitecaps remind us of Japanese masterpiece "The Great Wave off Kanagawa" ((Katsushika Hokusai, c. 1830). But contrary to this famous colour print our piece of wall art features a variety of fantastic creatures of the sea, car-inspired fishes, and surfing jellyfish and chameleons. Altogether they create a smile on our and our customers' faces on a daily basis.

Thank you, Stefanie Spilles und Hsieh Tsan-Yu!
